The Shunammite woman’s son was dead.
The blessing she’d received from the Lord was gone. She hadn’t asked Him for it, but now he was gone. In a split second of time, her known world changed forever. Within the chaos, she took charge of her environment and searched for the one who had given him to her, the Man of God, Elisha. He, in turn, sought the true Giver of Life.
Was your blessing stolen, killed or utterly destroyed? Your life doesn’t look like it once did? You want it back or something better? If you’re going to talk to anyone, talk to Him. Seek the One Who already knows your needs. He can make the unexpected work for your good.
Read it for yourself, focusing on her response to the enemy’s attack on her blessing. Are you going to roll over and die? I think not! Arise and stand so that you can see the manifested power of God. As you do, there are a few things you need to do. Guard your heart, your mind, and your mouth. Now, what are you waiting for? Step to it!
